Our stay at the Holiday Inn, Kingston South was very relaxing, the highlight by far was definitely our room. Luckily we were placed into an executive roomwhich to our delight overlooked the front of the hotel with views onto the River Thames.

When we arrived the sun was just setting, which provided a delightful view from our bedroom; a lovely setting for a friday night after work and to toast a glass of prosecco!

Upon entering we were greeted with warm gold and brown decorative tones. The draped floor to ceiling gold curtains were my favourite addition to the room.

The bathroom featured an aquatic green glow, with a host of free toiletries on display. There were also tea and coffee making facilities and a mini bar featuring some complimentary drinks and snacks - which is always a lovely touch!

The room was very spacious, with a huge mirror (big enough for two people to use at once) which is always a great addition. There's definitely far too hotel rooms without - an often overlooked essential amenity for us ladies!

Double doors led straight out onto a wide balcony overlooking the Thames; this was lovely both in the evening and in the morning with the birds chirping.

In the morning we decided to be naughty (Saturday morning style) and opted for the in-room breakfast service, which was free of charge.

This meant we could open up the sliding doors out onto the balcony, eat breakfast from the comfort of bed, whilst watching and listening to the world go by. Blissful!

The Holiday Inn, Kingston South is in an ideal location for those wanting a quick journey into central London - probably around 30 minutes or less on the train (including tube journeys). The hotel is close to Surbition train station, easily reachable if driving by car, otherwise it's only a short taxi ride away from the station.

We loved our stay and would definitely come back if we were looking for a quiet spot, within easy reach of central London.

  1. I remember seeing this on your insta and thinking it looked like you were on a boat. It has such a cool vibe to it! And those views are incredible - no wonder you opted for room service!
