A couple of
weeks ago I entered a twitter competition.
So I won a place to be invited along to the exclusive #TweatUp event at the new Noodle House
restaurant, in London's West End. I was allowed to take a friend along, where we were invited to indulge
into an evening of tea infused cocktails and an array of the noodle
house's signature dishes and desserts.
Of course I
was excited at the prospect of a night of sipping perfectly hand crafted
cocktails and sampling flavours of south east Asia. I thought it would be the perfect time to invite along my friend Louise, so we could have a much needed natter and catch up. As soon as
we arrived we were treated to a cocktail and various starters to
snack on.
We had all
sorts; chicken satay with a spicy peanut sauce, crispy calamari with a chilli dipping sauce, hangzhou’ style beans and wasabi prawns. The calamari was my favourite, the batter was so tender!
There was only about four other sets of couples at the event; little
did we know we were about to be seated on a huge table together, to a banquet of dishes to try
from the main menu. As you can see from the pictures, we had soo much food!
It was a real treat.
It was a real treat.
Sharing a table with everyone else was a really special touch, it was like sitting down
to a big family meal where we all just chatted and sampled lots of yummy
food. I think they wanted to emphasis the casual atmosphere of the restaurant and how the food is best enjoyed with friends, with dishes that were ideal to share between groups. Without a doubt I most enjoyed tucking into the duck pancakes. It was lovely to meet some new people, and the staff were constantly chatting to us and talking to us about all the food. You could tell they were very passionate about everything they serve and love to share the culture behind the company with the customers.
I had a lovely evening and thoroughly enjoyed all the food and drinks. I would definitely recommend this place as there is a vast array of dishes available to suit any palette.
When I've achieved my London job status, I will definitely be swinging by here after a long day at work, with a few friends in tow, order a few starters to nibble on and wash down with another watermelon cocktail!
Thank you to Hana at Roche Communications and the staff at The Noodle House for a lovely event!
I hope to see you again soon :)
