Afternoon Tea at the Ritz, London

I was lucky enough to indulge into an afternoon @ The Ritz back in December
when my Australian cousins came to visit.
My dad tends to know the right people in the right places, normally resulting in some
invaluable experiences I am very lucky to have been included in!

My first afternoon tea experience:
I'm a huge fan of all things cake, especially when it comes in the form of cute, delicate bite-size pieces accompanied by champagne, exotic tea, finger sandwiches and scones (in their abundance) smothered in clotted cream & jam!
And what better place to say I enjoyed afternoon tea?
Fancy furniture, bone china cups, dainty crockery and polished silverware,  I felt like I was dining with royalty!
It was fun to say I'd had an afternoon at the ritz, drinking far too much champagne coated in gold flecks..
Yes you heard right!!
My dad even arranged for real gold flecks to be put into our champagne..
what an experience for the cousins (and an expensive one at that..!)
But a tasty treat non the less!
As we went at Christmas time, I opted for the Spiced Christmas tea, which was beautiful and ever so fragrant.
Finger cake selection included; sponge fingers, delicious macaroons, scrumptious chocolate cake and custard domes.

This will definitely be an experience to remember.
I hope you enjoy drooling over the pictures.

We finished off the day with a trip aboard the London Eye capturing picturesque views over London's landscape.
