What I'm Wearing:
When visiting Liverpool for the weekend on arrival I realised I had packed a rather rushed suitcase.
To my dismay, I thought I'd included a lot of clothing and outfit variations when in fact I pretty much had nothing I wanted to wear.
One thing I did have were my new thigh high boots from ASOS I'm styling in this outfit. Keen to give them their first outing whilst in Liverpool, I knew I'd have to do a bit of high-street shopping in order to find a suitable dress to pair with which I could wear for our meal and drinks out for Alex's birthday evening.
These boots are seriously comfortable and really did the trick, I didn't want anything with too much of a heel as knew it wouldn't be practical and I'd end up wearing these boots a lot less than planned. I've always thought over-the-knee boots looks seriously stylish paired with most outfits so am so happy I finally have my own pair to incorporate into my own wardrobe.
Although it ended up raining on the evening, I felt like being daring and going bare legged beneath the boots and dress, as I thought tights would ruin the outfit colour balance. Luckily I didn't have too much of a 'bare skin gap' on show, and these boots did a great job at keeping my legs seriously warm, I didn't even notice the breeze!
The dress is made from a chiffon material, is the perfect fit for me as its a floaty number with a fitted neckline, long sleeves and just sits perfectly on my figure, you can't even notice my huge hips in these! With a couple of different patterns on offer and only £15 - this really is a great versatile dress for any fashion-lovers wardrobe.
I'm really digging the 70s chic vibe this outfit gives off too.
