It's quite apparent that autumn is all around us.
Autumn is definitely my favourite season, not only is October graced by my birthday, but it's a beautiful time when all the leaves start to fall off the trees, and those still clinging within start to change colour into beautiful shades of burgundy, brown and orange.
At the moment me and Alex have the week off work; we've been desperate for a little break ever since we moved into the house (six months ago now), seriously how time flies!
So we decided to take a week off to spend some much needed time at home, relaxing, doing some much needed bits and bobs around the house and spending some quality time together. Of course we would have equally loved to jet off somewhere exotic on holiday, but autumn doesn't seem like such a bad season to stick around...
Oh and of course welcoming, and helping our new little feline family member Mia settle in (more to come on that little rascal in a future blog post!).
Yesterday we decided to pop into town, with a detour via the woodland local to our house, these too were bursting with beautiful shades of green, brown and yellow so I thought this would be a perfect back-drop to stop and show off one of my favourite autumnal outfits - perfect for the fall.
In particular, I wanted to share with you this gorgeous fluffy grey cardigan I found in F&Fclothing in Tesco's. Of course, it wouldn't be my ideal autumnal piece if I didn't buy it in a couple of sizes too big. I'm pretty sure I actually bought this in a size 20 - its the perfect snug size, plus I can fold over the sleeves to create a super snug thick layering.
Having a couple of thick, oversized cardigans is definitely my wardrobe staple for the autumn season!
If you like F&F clothing like me, here's another chunky knit I found in F&Fclothing at Tesco's and styled up.
If you head over to rightupmystreet on Instagram you'll find lots of super cute photos of my new kitten, Mia filling up my feed.
How do you dress for the fall?
