CAGECITY Press Day

I was lucky enough to be invited along to the first ever press day for CAGECITY.
I decided to drag along my buddy Amelia who has just started a fashion blog herself - go check it out here
It was a lovely event full of quirky, bold statement vintage and handmade pieces, the presentation of the whole event matched up to the exclusive, quirky ethos of the brand.
As we were the first people to arrive it was lovely to have some time chatting to the founders; Nadine and Leyla, getting to know what the brand was about!
Basically they showcase fashion from up and coming, young vibrant brands looking for a place to promote and sell their handmade vintage designs.

CAGECITY represents anyone looking to be bold and daring in their fashion, not for the faint hearted or those constrained by so called fashion do's and dont's. As you can see this vision is represented clearly through their brand name.
So if you like wearing what you like, whenever you like this is definitely the brand for you!
I feel that fashion is a great outlet for expressing personality, its such a powerful tool for allowing confidence and feeling great in whatever you choose to wear.
Overall, such a fun day getting to preview the new S/S14 Collection, munching on pix'n'mix and colourful Cagecity cupcakes, sampling rather strong cocktails and creating my own DIY beanie!
It was great to preview a collection with such a strong vision for personal expression and basically 'not giving a shit' about what others think.
There is such a young fun loving team behind the brand and it was a pleasure to be able to meet them and share their passion for the brand.

// Yummy Pic'n'mix //
// Tasty CAGECITY Cupcakes //
// Raspberry Daiquiri's and amazing fluorescent bar! //
// The DIY beanie table, Left - Amelia's, Right - Mine //
// Some gorgeous items from the collection; a gorgeous monochrome check shirt with bold yellow sections and a cute patchwork crop with floral patterns.  //
// Amelia expressing her excitement for the clothes and a gorgeous fluffy black and cream cardigan / coat that I wish I could have got my mitts on - I love the texture of this item! //
// On the left - the new S/S14 Collection //
// The gorgeous CAGECITY set-up, pic'n'mix, cupcakes and DIY beanie table //
// Yummy cocktails :) //
// This was my favourite piece from the whole collection, its a very simple piece which features bold holographic sleeves making it such a statement item - I need it in my life now! It would look great with some skinny high waisted jeans or a black PU leather skirt //
// Others browsing the collections //
// So many different textures, sizes, colours, patterns, every item is unique and a one of piece that you wouldn't get anywhere else //
// The lovely goodie bag I picked up on the day! //

Hope you enjoyed my photos of the day.

Thank you CAGECITY for having me :)!
