How awful is the rain today?

It's starting to hit home now that summer really has left us!
I'm afraid that's why I've had to retreat inside to try and work with some awful lighting in order to shoot this outfit post.
I've been meaning to share this outfit for a while as I put it together a few weeks ago when I attended the Dirty Martini Media Launch Party for their new cocktail bar in Bishopsgate (keep your eyes peeled a post on the media party is coming soon!).

Yes, you're probably thinking isn't that a bit casual for a media party? I probably stood out a bit like a sore thumb but I knew all would be fine as I could switch in and out of styles, just buy taking off my cropped jumper my outfit immediately screamed a bit more glam and appropriate for my surroundings. Ever since I paired this dress and cropped jumper together its definitely a repeat outfit!
Since I bought this glamorous dress from a vintage shop in Liverpool I've been smitten, it's so versatile and I love how I can dress it up and down! You can't really see from these photos, but its actually sleeveless so its more of a oversized t-shirt dress (without the sleeves) and it goes slightly longer at the back. There are buttons all the way down from the collar and the paisley vintage pattern is to die for. Even the lady in the shop saw me try it on and said I had to have it.

Also these are my new prescription glasses, do you like them? I LOVE them!
The other day I went to get my eyes tested as I'd been having some pretty nasty headaches the painkillers couldn't resolve! Of course it was because of my pesky eyes as I've found out my eye-sight has got slightly worse again. (this is coming from someone who had perfect vision only two years ago - scary huh!)
However, I was slightly hopeful this be the case as I really wanted some new glasses.
I was really surprised at the bargain price-tag of these glasses as they do have a rather designer quirky feel to them. In my favour Specsavers are currently holding 2 for 1 on all specs so in fact me getting slightly less sighted, was in fact a treat :)
Sounds awful doesn't it?

Ps. The Necklace is an absolute bargain, currently on the Ever Ours website for 25p, yep you heard right!!

xo.
