Apologies in advance for this very picture heavy post!
I completely forgot about this post, hence why you will notice sunny skies and summer attire being featured.. this is from mine and Alex's summer weekend visit to Liverpool.
Generally we love taking visits to Liverpool for three combined reasons.
1. Alex is a BIG Liverpool supporter
2. I adore the shopping! (I've found a few vintage gems there - my favourite being LittleRedVintage)
3. We love the atmosphere - bars, restaurants and Albert dock! (Our favourite is Gusto's!)
As we didn't have a summer getaway this year we decided to head up for a loooong weekend combing some football, shopping, eating, drinking, sight-seeing!

We went to Albert Dock for Lunch when we arrived! This was at the Blue Bar and Grill, this was so yummy with a perfect view over the docks!
We then went and treated ourselves to 2 for 1 cocktails early afternoon at Revolution a bit further down the Albert Dock. Yummy Cosmo - my fav!
I absolutely love this hotel! Its called the Staybridge Suites and its just a bit further down from the Albert Dock right by the Echo Arena (where they hold lots of concerts) and the suites are amazing! We have stayed here twice now and both times have had the same bedroom as we loved it so much and requested it again as they are all different and some not as big, also we had an amazing view of the Echo Wheel with big large windows! It really is such good value for money for what you get and includes a seating area in your room as well as a self-catered kitchen which has all the amenities you would need for a night in! Basically I think the rooms are designed for the maximum comfort of business travelers who will be staying in Liverpool for a couple of weeks at a time. Hence why they hold regular drink receptions on an evening where you can drink and meet other hotel guests. A breakfast is also included in the room rate. We love staying here and will definitely be staying here on future trips to Liverpool. I would highly recommend! Easy walking distance to Albert Dock and central Liverpool aswell (not forgetting the Liverpool One shopping centre!)
We went for dinner at Bellini which was lovely! We pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves but had a great night and the food was delicious!
Breakfast in the morning we stole away to our room to eat, it is quite a basic breakfast with some hot food included and a big selection of continental items!
As you can see here I couldn't wait to devour my bacon sandwich!

On the last night we went to Gusto's for dinner. This place has a bangin' atmosphere and is always packed to the brim most nights! We've also been here a couple of times, normally I would go and seek out new places but Gusto's is quite faultless and we really had to go back. We got slightly drunk too and they ended up leaving one of the bottle of wines off our bill - RESULT!
All in all a fab weekend and I would definitely recommend a trip down to Liverpool for anyone who has never been before! I love this place :)
